Budgetese is built on a simple principle: your financial data belongs on your device, and nowhere else.
Budgetese never collects, transmits, or stores your financial data anywhere except on your own device. Bank statements you upload, and the transactions parsed from them, are processed entirely on-device. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and we have no ability to see it.
Budgetese contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.
Budgetese requires no account and works entirely offline. It performs no network requests of any kind — there is no server for it to talk to.
You can erase all app data at any time from Settings → Erase all data. Deleting the app permanently removes all your data from your device. There is no server-side copy.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the "last updated" date revised. The on-device principle above will not change.
Something not working, a statement that won't import, or a question about the app? Email harshkumarmalik@gmail.com and I'll reply.
If a bank statement fails to import, the most useful thing you can send is which bank it came from and what the app showed you. Please don't email the statement itself — it stays on your device, and I don't need it.
You can also report a problem from inside the app: Settings → Report a bug. That prepares an email with the app version filled in, and attaches none of your financial data.
